Also during this time, I joined the Glusburn Pantomime Group and took part in many shows which were put on in the February half term. I started in the Tinies Chorus as a beefeater in Sinbad the Sailor, at the age of 4 and ended as the back legs of a cow in Jack and the Beanstalk at the age of 15! I was also the correct weight to take part in the flying ballet, as a bluebird in Aladdin, at the age of eight.
In 1989 I moved up to South Craven Comprehensive School and was in a different form to most of my friends from Glusburn School. I suppose it was at this time in my life, that what I knew of the world, got a little bit bigger. Going to South Craven meant I could still walk to school, which was useful as it meant extra time in bed!
