In addition to the work on the Fly Tower, a new staircase was put into the Main Hall. Again, the main impetus for this work was given by new legislation which demanded (quite rightly, we felt) an alternative exit from the Main Hall to the ground floor outside. A recent inspection by the Fire Officer has confirmed that we are complying with the new legislation and we are once again able to offer a larger audience capacity.
This work is now almost complete. We have upgraded the toilet facilities and provided a toilet with access for the disabled. We are currently exploring how to provide access for the disabled onto the stage - this is proving a very thorny problem.
