For decades, the Institute has been the venue for Pantomime and other forms of theatre. Young people have always been involved in every area of the performance and this trend continues unabated. It is a very strong tradition that young people learn their stage craft by actually doing it. The majority of the funding for this major project has come from the Foundation for Sport and the Arts (Lottery Funded) and one of the criteria which we must fulfil is that of mounting all kinds of arts events. During the recent past we have staged pantomimes, musicals, straight plays, accordion concerts, a puppet theatre, a harpist, brass band music, children's concerts...and many more.
