This tank was one of several seen in the village during the war. They caused a lot of damage to the curbstones. Kildwick Station. In 1870, you could travel on the train for as little as 1d.per mile.There were seventeen trains a day to Leeds or Bradford from 5.20 am to 9.40 pm. In Glusburn there were 26 farmers in 1851 compared with 7 working farms today. There was a sheep market held in the Junction fields This fine organ was built for Glusburn Baptist church by Laycock & Bannister who had their works in the village. Fire at Hayfield Mill 1970. This is the old pavilion for the Bowling Green that was created next to the Institute. Glusburn School Horse-this represents the Smithy at the bottom of Green Lane. Glusburn Institute.  The Institute was originally built in 1892 at the behest of Sir John Horsfall. The Institute was extended in 1910 to accomodate a clock given to celebrate the coronation of King Geoge V and Queen Mary on 22 June 1911. Hayfield House Cricket Club. For more than 90 yrs the village has had a cricket club, being one of the earliest members of the Craven League. This was the pavilion at the ground at Wheatlands. Glusburn Old Hall circa 1900. Now three cottages, it was originally one house. The hall is dated 1637 but the original building was much older.  Glusburn Park which is still a source of enjoyment today.  This is the old drinking fountain. Gas Mask and planes from the Second World War Jonathan Whiteoak, Carrier, circa 1900. Jonathan was a well known carrier around Sutton and Glusburn. The horse was known as Vinegar and would without any word of command stop outside the Old White Bear Inn.  All Saints Church, Glusburn. All Saints church opened in 1906, a daughter church of St Thomas' in Sutton, was known locally as the 'tin tabernacle'. Wireless - part of the Radio Relay System in the Cross Hills area Cowling bus service in 1908. This Milner- Daimler omnibus was purchased in London by Ezra Laycock of Cowling in 1905. He drove it back to his village, the longest journey made by bus at that time.
