
In
1992 a new Health Centre was opened in the village. There are 6 doctors, 4 practice
nurses, as well as District Nurses/Health visitors/Community Midwife and a Chiropodist.
There is a Carers Support Officer, who works from the Centre.
The opening times of the surgery are Monday to Friday 8.30 till 6pm and all surgeries are by appointment. If anyone is unable to attend within these hours, the doctors do telephone consultations between 10.30 and 10.45 in the morning.
HOME VISITS are made when the patient is too ill to travel and at the doctor's discretion. If a visit is required it is helpful if the request is made before 10.00am.
OUT OF HOURS SERVICE This is from 6pm in the evening until 8 am in the morning, Monday till Friday, all day Saturday and Sunday and Bank holidays and the service is based at Airedale General Hospital. If anyone needs to use this contact the surgery on 01535 632147 and a message on the answer phone will inform you as to how to contact the emergency service. If you do contact the emergency service, all telephone conversations will be recorded.
